Bülent Öztürk: Abuses have increased along with interest in the land market

"So many irrelevant people are selling land... Even some village imams try to reach wealthy buyers when someone dies to sell their properties and land. For example, a mukhtar... He puts someone's land from the city up for sale on the internet, and when a customer appears, he calls the owner and says there is a buyer for your land. But he sells the land for 10 units, while telling the owner it's 5 units. These examples have increased a lot."

Another issue Öztürk drew attention to is the quality of the land. "The state should create an infrastructure profile here. Information such as when electricity and water will arrive, how much of the area can be built upon, etc., should be included." he said.
