THE HOUSE-FROM-LAND MARKET is Growing!

loan interest rates, rising prices, and declining purchasing power are making homeownership difficult, and the homeownership rate in Turkey is gradually decreasing. However, rapidly increasing rents in recent years and problems experienced with landlords are also triggering tenants' desire to buy a home. For this reason, interest in alternative purchasing models is increasing day by day. One of these models is 'house from land'; as the first step on the way to a home, the buyer first buys the land and then builds or commissions the house. According to industry experts, the annual size of this market has reached 15 billion dollars.

Investors bought housing, those who couldn't reach it bought land!

Stating that land-based purchasing has seen intense interest as the problem of access to housing grows, Arsavev Chairman of the Board Bülent Öztürk said, "There is a significant increase in housing sales in the first 5 months of the year. Buyers who think that prices have bottomed out have brought what they earned from different instruments, especially gold, to real estate. But the majority of buyers are investors. The real problem in Turkey is the segment that does not own a home. For this segment, purchasing through land has become an important option. The annual market size of the house-from-land model has risen to 15 billion dollars."

Stating that they have realized 5.7 million square meters of land sales to date with the housing-yield land model, Öztürk said, "Even in this period when the new housing market is troubled, we completed the first half of the year with 1,164 sales."
